Korean cuisine has historically been influenced by other cultures such as Chinese or Japanese, but has always known how to retain its individuality.

Characterised by delicate flavours, its local gastronomy is mainly based on rice, vegetables and meat, and is well known for the great variety of side dishes that accompany the main courses and its wide use of garlic as a condiment.
